Bush-fire Risk Assessment and Mitigation

Since the introduction of legislation designed to ensure the protection of life and property in bushfire-prone areas, Bangalay has prepared numerous bushfire risk assessments for a number of clients.

Our services include bushfire management, risk assessments and mitigation strategies tailored to specific land management objectives. Our assessments and reports address all relevant legislative requirements and comply with all relevant standard guidelines for bushfire risk assessments; clients receive a comprehensive report detailing all the relevant information they require. We are BPAD practitioners (certified under the Fire Protection Association of Australia).

Bushfire Management Planning

Bangalay Botanical Surveys can offer clients a range of vegetation and bushfire management plans, tailored to suit individual site and client requirements. These range from bushland and vegetation management plans for individual sites, to landscape-scale areas for local government and state authorities. We also provide technical input to local environment studies, local environment plans and biodiversity strategies. These documents meet with all relevant local government LEP and DCP requirements, as well as statutory guidelines such as those required by state and local government legislation.

We can also have extensive experience in threatened species management and the preparation of biodiversity and bushfire management plans for culturally and environmentally significant sites.
