Bangalay Botanical Surveys have conducted extensive botanical survey field work and documentation throughout New South Wales for a range of clients, organisations and companies throughout the North, Central and South Coast bioregions, in the Northern, Central and Southern Tablelands regions and a range of locations in the Western Plains. The size and scope of these flora surveys encompasses the full range from surveys of individual trees, to large-scale vegetation mapping and threatened species searches, including working on conservation, bushfire and ecological management plans and document reviews. Work undertaken on larger sites includes biodiversity surveys for large organisations including the Sydney Water Catchment Authority and Greening Australia.
Bangalay Botanical Surveys partners and associates have comprehensive qualifications in ecology, horticultural, plant science, arboriculture, GIS applications and environmental auditing. We also undertake photographic audits.
In addition to ecological surveys, we have conducted bushfire risk assessments on a range of sites for various clients, as required by recent changes to legislation including the Rural Fires Act 1997; we are also BPAD certified bushfire consultants (FPAA).
Bangalay Botanical Surveys has developed a wide client base, including local and state government departments, private sector organisations and NGO’s. We are currently members of a range of Environmental and Planning Consultants Panels and provide ecological input to a range of parties, including State government departments, universities, Catchment Management Authorities, numerous local governments and other land managers. Bangalay Botanical Surveys partners are members of a range of professional associations and have demonstrable experience in designing and delivering practical and comprehensive courses and modules on plant and vegetation ecology, native plant identification and the development of mapping for land management.
